May 2007 -- One of LogoBee's makeover highlights this year has been
re-working the image of the New York Industrial Retention Network
(NYIRN). This coming June will mark NYIRN's 10th Anniversary. For the
occasion they had planned on revising their logo to assist in new
fundraising and marketing initiatives. It was with this in mind that
they entered LogoBee's Makeover Contest, which provides winning
non-profits with new logo and stationery designs.
The New York Industrial Retention Network's
activities have continued to grow and expand. NYIRN focuses on
providing free business assistance to NYC manufacturers, with the goal
of retaining manufacturing jobs within local New York districts. With
the current trend of overseas manufacturing and outsourcing, the need
to assist local manufacturing industries in retaining jobs and
maintaining sustained economic growth has become increasingly
important. Manufacturing represents a key employment option to landed
immigrants and less skilled workers. It also boasts higher average
wages and benefits when compared to local retail and service
industries.
